Growing A Relationship
In 2003, the president of a retail golf company and golf school hired Newtek to provide outsourced digital bookkeeping for his new company utilizing our Financial SuitesTM and Bookkeeper in a Digital BoxTM. He was so pleased with our service that when he became dissatisfied with the credit card processor that he had been using he asked his new Digital Bookkeeper to recommend an alternative. He was referred to Newtek's payment processing division and remains a satisfied customer of that service as well. Recently, his company grew to the point where he required the services of an outside accounting firm on a full-time basis. He had become so accustomed to the reporting available with his Financial SuitesTM package that he required his CPA to utilize the service for his account. He learned that they were talking with another financial institution about their credit card processing business. In order to protect his existing business with the client, the alliance partner called Newtek. Within 3 days, Newtek had talked with the CFO of the clients' company, put a proposal together for their processing that saved them $1500 per month over the competing proposal and installed 25 PC workstations with the new processing software. Simply by reviewing their existing statements and discussing the processing environment, we were able to propose simple, but significant, cost-saving measures. The client was very enthusiastic about our prompt response, informative discussion and courteous interaction and impressed that Newtek's President got involved in this individual transaction.
